APPA Awards in Sydney part II

Wow,what a great few days it has been. It sounds like a bit of a cliche,but what an amazing industry and community of professional,world class image makers we have in Australia. The final Awards dinner last night just confirmed this for me. Our industry is constantly changing,and has been through some big changes over recent years. What stays the same however,is the passion and commitment shown by members of the AIPP to push themselves and others in creating incredible images in all photography categories. I know I have been inspired to continue to push myself and create images which haven’t been seen before.

Over the course of the judging in the Wedding category,I am thrilled to have been awarded four Silver Awards for my four wedding prints. To receive an award for all of my prints in one year is a first for me.
I also gained enough points to be granted the title of “Associate AIPP”.

I am really looking forward to the 2012 Australian Professional Photography Awards!

It is a beautiful day here in Sydney for the start of the Australian Professional Photography Awards. Pretty much the Oscars of Australian Professional Photography. Looking forward to the wedding judging later today.

The Wedding of Doreen &Arthur –Sebel Playford Adelaide

I had the pleasure of photographing Doreen &Arthur’s wedding on Saturday. I honestly had so much fun with these guys,the day was filled with laughs,love,real emotion and Cherry Ripe bars.

They were married at the Greek Orthodox Parish &Community Of “St. Spyridon” in Unley.

From there we stopped near The National Wine Centre Adelaide,and Henley Beach and back to The Sebel Playford Adelaide for the reception.
The comments and stares from people including myself who were mesmerised by Doreen’s gown was amazing. It was a Jason Grech design.

Wingky and Richard Pre Wedding Adelaide

I really feel honoured to have been asked to photograph Wingky and Richard’s pre wedding images recently. Wingky and Richard are both from Hong Kong and are getting married there early next year.

They have a connection with Adelaide via Richard’s University studies,and decided to capture their pre wedding images here,I’m glad they did!

I have to thank Kara Fantasia,who did a superb job with Wingkeys makeup throughout the day and is always great to work with.

Some of the locations we travelled to included Penny’s Hill Winery at McLaren Vale,Port Willunga,North Terrace,Adelaide and The Town Hall.

Annika &Stuart were married at the beautiful St Peter’s Church in Glenelg and held their reception at Jolley’s Boathouse near the Torrens.

During the day,the wedding congregation jumped on a tram back to the city,and we captured some beautiful images on the tram,near Parliament House North Terrace,along the Torrens and near Jolley’s.
