Masters of Weddings issue 6 from Studio Magazines –Featured!

I recently had the privilege of being invited to showcase my work in Issue 6 of “The Masters of Weddings”magazine. This Masters series is produced by the prestigious Studio Magazines.

First Place WPPI !

Some exiting news,one of my images picked up 1st place in the recent WPPI (Wedding &Portrait Photographers International) competition. Considering there was 3200 international entries,I am really happy to have been awarded 1st place in the Photojournalism category.

Here is a sneak peek from Saturday’s gorgeous wedding. Sarah and Daniel chose Sacred Heart Chapel in Somerton Park South Australia for their ceremony. From there we called into Brighton Beach and then on to their reception at The National Wine Centre of Australia. The rain held off and we had perfect wedding weather!

Bride to be Magazine Bride of the Year Finalist

I had the great news today that one of our gorgeous brides –Candice is a finalist in Bride to Be magazine’s Bride of the Year. Candice &Jeremy had a beautiful wedding here in Adelaide back in April 2011.

Sacred Heart Chapel was chosen for Candice &Jeremy’s ceremony,with their reception held at The Stamford Plaza Adelaide.

We had a fabulous day calling into a few locations near North Terrace,before arriving at the Stamford Plaza.

2011 AIPP APPA AWARDS

Here are my prints from the recent AIPP Australian Professional Photography Awards held this year in Darling Harbour Sydney. All four of my images picked up Silver Awards in the Wedding Category.

APPA Awards in Sydney part II

Wow,what a great few days it has been. It sounds like a bit of a cliche,but what an amazing industry and community of professional,world class image makers we have in Australia. The final Awards dinner last night just confirmed this for me. Our industry is constantly changing,and has been through some big changes over recent years. What stays the same however,is the passion and commitment shown by members of the AIPP to push themselves and others in creating incredible images in all photography categories. I know I have been inspired to continue to push myself and create images which haven’t been seen before.

Over the course of the judging in the Wedding category,I am thrilled to have been awarded four Silver Awards for my four wedding prints. To receive an award for all of my prints in one year is a first for me.
I also gained enough points to be granted the title of “Associate AIPP”.

I am really looking forward to the 2012 Australian Professional Photography Awards!
